How to Change a User’s Default Extension Number in Hipcall
To update the default extension assigned to a user:
- Go to the Users section under the Phone System heading in Settings.
- Click the Action button next to the user you want to modify, then select Phone Settings.
- From the left-hand menu, go to the Extension page.
- Click the Pencil icon in the Default Extension section to change the assigned extension number.
You can also view all extensions assigned to the user in the Extension List section on the same page.
If the direct extension dialing feature is active, sharing your extension number with customers allows them to reach the user easily.
